Empty Ballroom Blues

Empty Ballroom Blues

as performed by Johnny Hodges

$60

Empty Ballroom Blues (which is not a blues!) is an Hodges/Ellington piece with great big riffs and big solo sections, and it makes for a great finale number! Watch out on this one, it’s too hard for level 2 because the bari and trombone parts are unusually high and the speed is a little brisk. The alto is on soprano sax here, though clarinet works just as well.
